Hey Homebodies,

I’ve always loved having a cosy environment and being home (there’s a reason why my brand is called Homebody Club 😅), but it was only in the past few years that I’ve really focused on creating nervous system soothing, mindful spaces that facilitate a sense of safety and self-care with ease.

I posted this story last week…

and one of my friends sent me this message in response…

I immediately had a bunch of ideas, links and tips and knew that this was going to be more than a message back…this needed to be a guide.

I think we all learnt after lockdowns how important our environments are and how closely linked our mental health can be. I’ve never been the one to study interiors, or read any books in the area, I have intuitively gone with my gut when it comes to space curation and how I want the energy to feel in our home.

I’ve been in some tiny apartment rentals, and this year my husband and I bought home first home. No matter the size or ownership status, you can do so much with your space and it doesn’t need to cost you an arm and a leg with designer furniture.

In this week’s guide, I’m going through the steps I take to create portals of mindfulness and self-care in the home. And because this is part of our ‘Finding Home’ premium series, I’m taking you behind-the-scenes of my own private space and our vision for our house in the future. This is a comprehensive guide that also includes a 18 min podcast version of the newsletter, so this will be a great resource for you to come back to. Ohhh it’s going to be juicy! Let’s dive in.

In this premium edition of the ‘Finding Home’ Substack, we cover the following:

1. Get clarity on what makes you feel good

2. It’s all about that light, baby (our red light recommendations)

3. Using aromatic emotional anchoring for easy self-care

4. Using the Sunday Reset method to de-clutter and de-stress

5. Creating gratitude reminders around the house

6. Prioritising a special space to connect

7. Creating connection to the earth to ground in mindfulness

Plus a private podcast and behind-the-scenes of our dream portals and house vibes.
