How to use your Human Design to help you make decisions
Human Design is a personality indicator, that’s like a combination between astrology and Myers-Briggs and is all about decision making.
Established in 1989 by a mystic named Ra Uru Hu, the system operates off the idea that we are all born with a specific design, and it's our life's mission to cater to it. According to the philosophy, when we're operating to our design, there's a lot of flow and success - and when we're out of line, there's more resistance and frustration.
There are many components to Human Design, so let’s get started on breaking it down.
What is human design:
Human Design shows you where and how to access your body’s consciousness as a decision-making tool, and ultimately, how to live as your true self. Human Design offers a map, that indicates how you are unique as a person, and guides you in living in a manner that is in-sync with who you are.
How can you calculate your own Human Design?
Human Design is calculated using your birth date, time, and place, to reveal your genetic design.
What you’ll find is a slightly intimidating map of numbers and symbols arranged on a human figure.
How can Human Design help you to make decisions:
Human Design provides two main sets of tools, called Strategy and Authority. Your individual chart will show you what your unique Strategy and Authority is and this information can help you to make decisions that are most in line with who you are, which will ultimately lead you in the direction that is right for you.
The four Strategy types:
There are four different aura types that each have their own Strategy. Your Strategy supports you to work with your natural energy instead of working against it.
Generators represent about 70% of the population. Generators are essentially the life force of the population who are designed to work and to love the work they do—oftentimes working themselves to the point of exhaustion.
Projectors represent about 20% of the population. Projectors are natural leaders, but are not designed to do all the doing, but are instead designed to be a guide and support for others, especially when they feel recognised and invited in - often making great managers.
Manifestors represent about 9% of the population. Manifesting generators are similar to generators, as they're designed to work and to love the work they do, but they're known for their ability to bring things to life quickly and efficiently. As natural initiators, their Strategy is to inform those around them of their decisions before they take action.
Reflectors represent about 1% of the population. They are great facilitators and evaluators, able to offer a perspective that's unique and different, and are able to see the things that often go unnoticed. Because their chemistry magnifies everything and everyone, Reflectors have the potential to see what is happening in a way that no one else can. Their greatest gift is to read others and their environments.
The Seven Authorities of Human Design:
The Authority is the language our body uses to communicate to us, many times in-the-moment, what is meant for us and what we need to back the fuck away from.
The Seven types of Authority are:
